China has gone totally mad - they have banned Fasting in Ramadan. You have to totally stupid to think like that! This is what the official statement said, No teacher can participate in religious activities, instil religious thoughts in students or coerce students into religious activities, said a statement on the website of the Number 3 Grade School in Ruoqiang County in Xinjiang. But does a person fasting violate Chinese extremist communist philosophy? I am baffled! Al-Jazeera reported, The ban is being imposed on students and civil servants in Chinas Muslim northwest and have been ordered by the state to avoid taking part in traditional fasting during the Islamic month of Ramadan. On Tuesday, authorities in some communities in Xinjiang held celebrations of the anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party and served food to test whether Muslim guests were fasting, according to Dilxat Raxit, spokesman in Germany for the rights group World Uyghur Congress. Whats next? This is yet another attack on ordinary Chinese Muslims on top of those internal struggles they have been facing under the Chinese communist regime! They are discriminated, violated, persecuted and even killed for simply being Muslims and demanding more autonomy. Chinese idea of making robotic humans who are all communists and who worship their grand leader is outlandishly foolish and ridiculous. I am ashamed of our government for its support of Chinese government! This in yet another frontier for the global Muslim community to deal with and respond to. As if the list of trouble spots for the Muslims is not exhaustive enough. Take a look at the long list - Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Central African Republic, Burma, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and many more. To top it up the external media and political vilification and hounding of the Muslims in many countries in Europe and America is adding to the burgeoning pressure. It really shows the need for the Muslim world to put their house in order, to reform, fight for freedom, establish rule of law, create democratic institutions and governance and most importantly unite. If the Muslim world was free, democratic, united and powerful no body would dare take advantage of the Muslims. Anyone who abuses the rights and honour of Muslims could be taken to task. In todays disunited and shackled Muslims anyone can do anything to any Muslim anytime and anywhere! Muslims have gone into a defensive mode and survival has become the name of the game. Can you imagine if Chinese products were banned from every Muslim country in the world and Chinese contracts for constructing roads, bridges, buildings and extracting oil and gas as well as other infrastructure development programmes were suspended in protest to China banning Fasting and other atrocities committed against the Muslims. Chinese communist party would come running, seeking forgiveness and begging for the contracts. Money talks but unity and power talk even louder!
