China`s consumer prices below forecasts in June . . . . . . . . . . . Consumer prices in China inclined in June less than estimates, due to the slowdown in economic activity which affected growth and inflation levels. The consumer prices index gained 2.3% in June from 2.5% in the same period last year, while analysts expected an incline by 2.4%. Producer prices slid 1.1% last month, after it dropped 1.4% in a year earlier, while market forecasts referred to 1.0%. Moreover, inflation in the world`s second largest economy remains subdued as the economy can`t find the usual support from exports, while the manufacturing activity is still below normal levels. Prime Minister Li Keqiang ensured that the Chinese economy can realize the targeted growth of 7.5%, especially after the recently added stimulus measures. It is important to mention that a growth below 7.5% will cause deteriorations in the labor market, according to the government. #egyptyard
