China wants to destroy 450,000 acres of rainforest to build a bunch of mines in Ecudor. The environmental and indigenous leader of the opposition was just found dead. Bound and buried in an unmarked grave. The problem here and across the board is that people just arent aware, empowered, or educated. Our politicians are easily bought and sold and the only people left to uphold that system of checks and balances are the educated and environmentally motivated minority, desperately holding on to the worlds last sanctuaries of fresh water and forests, while gigantic and murderous corporate interests run the workings of the world with an iron fist.
