Chipped off With a frantic mind I rushed into my car, worried beyond belief. Logan had been completely content when I dropped him off at school on my way to work. I had never thought that he would be involved in a physical fight with a fellow classmate twice his size, and look where it’s gotten him, a near concussion. I sped off through the streets calling my husband on the way, informing him of Logan’s condition.A moment later, I pulled up in front of the school, another car darting to the same spot, causing a little chip of a collision. Although it was nothing big, it caused my head to bang straight into the steering wheel with immense force. It took a moment for the world to stop spinning, but as soon as it did, I was back up on my feet running through the school’s entrance. There, I saw Cameron and together we walked in to the nurse’s office. Upon our arrivalwe saw Logan sitting on the bed behind the nurse, tears streaming down his face. The nurse, however, turned in her chair, giving us a friendly smile. She walked up to us and gave a complete explanation of what had happened with Logan. She recommended taking him to the doctor just in case his injury is more severe. As soon as he saw us, Logan, with teary eyes ran straight into Cameron’s arms. Cameron still had an arm wrapped around Logan as we said goodbye to the nurse, thanked her and walked out. I raced to keep up with their long strides. As soon as we exited the school, we saw a big mob standing at its entrance. Although I was planning on leaving my car behind and rushing to the hospital with Cameron and Logan, Cameron hesitated in his steps. He suddenly had a look of disbelief and worry on his face as he moved towards the crowd. Logan looked troubled at his fathers’ sudden change of mind however still rushed to catch up with his father. As their paces quickened, their expressions became undecipherable. Cameron pushed through the crowd frantically with Logan right behind him. As they approached the crashed car, Cameron was hysterically trying to open the drivers’ door. Logan also let out a new stream of tears staring into a car. With a sudden surge of panic, I caught up to them and, when my eyes landed on the familiar car, my heart dropped. Cameron, with tears blurring his vision, was desperately trying to pull my body out of the car.
