Chocolate Gingerbread Men 1/2 cup shortening 1/2tsp baking soda 1/2 cup molasses 1 tsp ginger 2 squares unsweetened chocolate (2oz) 1/4 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups flour 1/4 cup milk 2/3 cup sugar 1 tsp baking powder Combine shortening,molasses and chocolate and heat over hot water stirring occasionally til blended. Cool. Sift together flour sugar etc and add to molasses mixture. add milk mix well. Chill dough till firm. Roll out 1/8 thick on lightly floured board cut your shapes bake @ 375 for 6 min.
