Suzy Bonnett is the franchise owner of the Des Moines, IA based company, and has been in business for 5 years. Suzy and her family lived in Germany for a number of years and really enjoyed the European style chocolates. Once they moved back to the states and landed here in Papillion, they saw the need for more than off-the-shelf chocolates, and after a long search for the European style chocolate here in the US she discovered Chocolaterie Stam. Suzy drives to Des Moines once a week to pick up fresh product to put on her display counter. Typical milk chocolate has a shelf life of 1 year, dark chocolates can last up to 2 years. The chocolate at Stams only lasts for about a month and never gets refrigerated. Suzy passionately believes freshness is the most important thing to discerning chocolate palates. Suzy and her husband Chad are very close to their local community and to the military families that call Papillion home . Her husband has worked for the military for years and is looking to retire here at Offutt AFB in the next couple years. They also support local artists and displays their pieces in her store that you can purchase.
