Christ Family Devotional Guide by Ps. Bright. Theme: Why? “O LORD, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear? Even cry out to You, “Violence!” and You will not save. Why do You show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; there is strife, and contention arises.” Hab. 1:2-3. Do you find yourself in any overwhelming situation and it is difficult to escape from it? Ask God, “Why?” He will answer you. God will not strike you down for asking. God did not strike down the Prophet Habakkuk when he asked, “why?” Habakkuk did not understand why the Just God will allow the wicked nation like Babylon to inflict pain on His chosen people. He did not understand why the righteous were so hurt by the wicked but the wicked was not punished. God responded, “Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.” Hab. 1:5. God assured Habakkuk of restoring His Kingdom, give rest and salvation to His children, and judge their enemies. Beloved, be assured today that your present condition will not kill you. It is but for a moment. Though your outer body is in pain, the Holy Ghost has conceived better things in the inside. Your labour will soon be over. You will soon rejoice over new birth of extraordinary blessings. Meditation: “For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease.” Job. 14:7. Declaration: Dear LORD, why are all these problems, (name your problems) happening to me? Prayer: Daddy LORD, please settle every situation mentioned by the above declarer like you did for Habakkuk in Jesus Christ name! Beloved, be of good cheer! Your problems will not follow you to 2015, in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
