Our trip to Paris Forgot to mention that the day before after visiting the Lafayette Galleries (A very fancy department store) we went to the Eiffel Tower. We stood in line for a while but got to go all the way to the top. It was dark already. Genevieve wanted to see Paris at night. The second day, we went to Montmatre to experience the art source in Paris. We took the Metro of course and started to climb a steep hill all paved with cobble stones and took a break at a tiny little park where a young man was playing the guitar. We were in the same street the Museum Montmatre and Jardins Renoir were. This museum was located in a house in the area where Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Kupka, Emile-Othon Frietz, Raoul Duffy etc. had their studios. Their artistic spirit run through the very walls of this museum. In fact many known artists lived in the area. There was a model of Monmatre and it pointed to the places where they lived including Picaso and many more. After that we visited the Basilique du Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart), continuing down the hill we toured the streets where the artists are at work. There are many cafes and little shops. Just around the corner we found the Dalí museum it housed a large collection of his work. To be continued.
