Christelin Hursey 9 minutes ago ***INTERESTING*** Filing false claims with Child Protective Services of child abuse or neglect is a violation of several laws in the state of Ohio including aggravated harassment due to the fact children are being used as a weapon and falsification of a government statement both of which are Felonies, punishable by prison. A person so full of hate and so intent on destroying another person that he or she phones in false reports of child abuse/neglect is not only a menace to society they actually become the child abuser by inflicting mental anguish/abuse through unjustified questioning and physical examination of the child therefore opening themselves up to prosecution. False claims are a waste of valuable police and social services resources, as well as the taxpayers money. So, if Child Protective Services finds a claim to be unjustified and the parent being investigated asks to peruse criminal charges against the accuser they are required by law to do exactly that or it becomes a case of the agency that is supposed to protect children from child abuse becoming the abuser themselves by allowing it to happen. The anonymous call/reporting process used by Child Protective Services is upheld in all claims that were found to be factual but in cases where the claim was unfounded and clearly spiteful in content all anonymous reports whether filed using an online form or using the automated telephone system can be traced and the agency is required to disclose the identity & location of the person(s) making the claim for prosecution purposes.
