Christmas Eve is finally here! Many of you are reading this with family near, some alone because family has left, has fallen asleep or because you are all you have this Christmas Eve. To you who feel alone, I testify that God is in His Heaven and knows you. He loves you. If you will pray He will touch your heart and let you know that He is near. I have wonderful friends who are not Christian, and to them I mean no disrespect, but on this Christmas Eve I want to express my deep love for and belief in Jesus Christ. I believe He has redeemed my soul and my sins are forgiven through His atonement. I have felt His love on lonely nights when I have sought His help. He has brought me deep peace and great joy. Through Him, I have hope for happiness in this life and a wonderful existence in his presence with my family in the life to come. If I were to send a son who would be King of Kings, I would have sent him in our era to a new hospital with amazing doctors and nursing. I would have him tutored by the best and he would live in luxury. But when God choose to send His son, he proved that his ways are not my ways. He sent His Only Begotten Son to earth in the meridian of time, in a lowly manager, with not even a mid-wife to assist in His delivery. He was taught by goodly parents, and from on-high and was without a warm and comfortable home. He ministered to and lived among the poor and he was rejected by those in power. Yet Angels announced his birth and came years later to announce his resurrection and ascension into heaven. He who was beneath all in this life, became King of King and Lord of Lords. I love Him and my faith is that He will offer resurrection and redemption to me if I believe. I want to try to be more life Him. On this Christmas Eve I thank God for the Gift of His Son and testify that He lives.
