I have spent a lot of time tonight reading posts on this site. I have to say I was blessed to have spent 30 years of my career at Weaver High School. As I have read comment after comment... many I could remember. I will forever cherish the students and co-workers and I will always be a Bearcat. To those of you who were a little mischevious I am sure you have grown up into wonderful individuals. To all of you out there...thanks for the memories. I love you all...even those of you who thought I didnt because you thought I was being mean...when I was actually attempting to prepare you for the real world and keep a few of you on track to graduate and out of trouble much worse than you could get in while in school. I hope each and every one of you realize how blessed you have been to sit in some of the best and most caring teachers rooms. Most of you took advantage of those opportunites, a few did not and for you I pray you have worked through the tough times and are now living a blessed life. Unfortunatley the Weaver family has lost students and teachers over time to accidents, age and illnesses. There are also some who are currently battling cancer and other issues. Whatever you are doing....stop right now...say a pray for those individuals that are part of OUR WEAVER FAMILY (whether you know them and the battle they are fighting) and ask for their comfort and healing. If you never remember anything I attempted to teach you please remember this....I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!! I have been blessed due to crossing paths with you! Take care of yourself, your family and dont ever forget the wonderful school and community where you grew up! Love ~ Mama Shipp
