Best Howard update yet: His chest tube came out today, he is breathing 50% on his own which is double the rate of yesterday. He responded several times today, moved his arm and leg several times as well. The best news is he finally made contact!! His eyes opened and he grimaced, I told him to close his eyes if he was in pain and he did, I told him to open them and he did, the nurse told him to blink several times and he did. we asked him for thumbs up and he moved his hand but no thumbs up yet. He repeated a strictly verbal command with his eyes for me several times. The nurse told him to look at me and he moved his eyes in my direction. It may sound small but its huge!! Please keep the positivity coming. We plan to medical flight him to a hospital at home as soon as possible. Thank you to those who made donations it is appreciated and Howard will be able to thank you all soon!!
