Christmas in the Jungle is right around the corner. Here is a note from Marcy: HOLA AMIGOS!!! The ENDLESS SUMMER continues on here in San Diego....but in my spirit I hear the Jungle Bells of my Quimixto Kids!! Its time to GET GOIN AND GET GIVIN ! I have already primed the pot with $1,000 and started the shopping spree and scored some super deals here in San Diego....Great kid T-Shirts, Miss KItty girl sandals and toys which Ive muled down to Mexico on my two trips south. I will head to PV on November 28th this year and joyfully be in Puerto Vallarta until February 1, 2015. Look out Costco, K-Mart and Pittial.....Its school supply time! Shopping spree begins the first week in December. This year we have 50 kids in grades one through six.....33 girls and 17 boys. There are 12 kids in the sixth grade and I am hoping that their grades are tops and they will qualify for scholarship status. If anyone is interested in sponsoring a child, please let me know. THANK YOU SO MUCH to current Sponsors who have already sent their $250 to continue sponsorship for their child for another year. I am so grateful to you. And thank you to all who have already donated for this years Giving Day. As always, each child will receive a Christmas bag with school supplies, toys and hygiene items. We will also include items for our kinder kids (under age 5)....blankets, shoes, toys, diapers, etc. My plan for the Community Gift this year is to help supply the new Mini-Medical First Aid Station that has been built. Several items have already been donated....exam table, scale, stethoscopes, blood pressure monitor and some gloves/bandages, etc. On MY SHOPPING LIST IS: 2 ceiling fans, a big wall mirror, trashcan, plastic 3-drawer carts for supplies, health wall posters, thermometers. If you see any of these things on sale in PV...please let me know. REMEMBER...This little mini clinic will also serve the gringos that come to Quimixto and fall off their horse while going up to the waterfall! The Santa Boat Sleighs are lining up and Santas suit is at the drycleaners! I ask again that your ELF SELF can help me make this another special and memorable Giving Day for my Quimixto Kids. GIVING DAY IS ON JANUARY 7th, Wednesday. You can contribute by sending a check directly to me before Nov. 25th OR you can donate via this website: CasaJoJoFoundation.org. Please indicate your donation is for CHRISTMAS IN QUIMIXTO. Your donation is tax deductible. GRACIAS again for all your support in the past. I so appreciate your help on my lifes best work. Wishing you a joyful Christmas season and may 2015 be a year of perfect health, new adventure and lots of love and friendship. Muchas Gracias for all you do to make a big difference.
