Christmas was very different for me this year. It was a year that I didnt get to do any Christmas shopping for my family, we were not able to purchase Christmas dinner, we couldnt bake Christmas cookies and I didnt get to mail out Christmas cards. I thought when I had this foot surgery on December 9th that I would be able to take care of my home, animals and my everyday life as normal, but to my surprise I found I was going to need 24 hour help. Mike had to take fmla which means there was no $$ coming in until we get his fmla papers, doctors fill them out and insurance approves. Needless to say the papers to be filled out just arrived on the 23rd. They now are at the drs office who is out until January. I found I was very emotional yesterday, I had no gifts, no food and thinking I wasnt going to see any of my children and grandchildren. My children, their partners, my grandchildren and a few friends gave us the best gift ever....one by one until everyone was here all together....my house was cleaned, pets were cared for, Christmas dinner was brought & cooked, Christmas cookies were delivered and sent by dear friends who took time to bake with love and they even surprised us with christmas gifts. If all they would have brought was themselves I would have had a very fulfilled Christmas, but they took this Christmas over the top. I love each and everyone of them with my whole heart and I feel like I am the most blessed person in the world.
