Chuck Dance Company seeks new dancers to join the company and perform and develop a short dance film in SE London in November 2013. We are looking for strong, physical contemporary dancers with diverse movement background, contact improvisation experience and a passion for collaborative choreography. You must be comfortable devising your own solo material but also enjoy working as part of an ensemble. Dancers will be expected to have excellent technical and devising skills, as the process will begin with a task-based creative period. We are committed to creating authentic and disruptive work – so we are not for the faint hearted. We are looking for enthusiasm, strong work ethic, excitement and reliability. Rehearsals will be in London at the end of October/beginning of November and the shoot will be the last week in November for a maximum of 4 days (dates, times and locations will be confirmed at a later date). We are looking for those who wish to gain experience working as part of a company with great choreographers, set & costume designers and film crew. The footage will be made readily available to the dancers and Chuck Dance Company are looking to expand upon this work for a live performance in Spring 2014. Applications must be received by the 21st of October 2013. Date of the audition is the 24th of October 2013, location will be confirmed via email.
