Chuck’s Steak House on the Boston Post Road in West Haven, CT was the flagship of the Chuck’s Steak Houses. Known for it’s simple menu and great food they eventually spread throughout the East. The signature structures were either reconditioned barns or constructed from barn lumber and were always distinguishable for their classic look. The Restaurant has gone through several changes in ownership and name since the original owner retired but none as successful and the original Chuck’s. This classic structure, standing as a landmark on the Boston Post Road for decades, became a three alarm fire this week. How sad.
