Church Planting The Omega vision is focused on the Great - TopicsExpress

Church Planting The Omega vision is focused on the Great Commission, namely that of making disciples, teaching and training leaders, and helping indigenous covenant communities reproduce themselves in planting churches throughout Haiti. The role we play stateside is supportive, not essential. Our desire is to see healthy, gospel-centered churches planted and growing as self-sustaining, self-governing, self-propagating, and self-reproducing outposts of the kingdom. Our philosophy of planting includes a commitment to indigenous church planting, simple church structures, reproducible systems, scalable leadership development, and a robust commitment to disciple-making of young men. OKM works to help catalyze the work of church planting in Haiti by leveraging resources and training tools for leadership development and theological education so that the next generation of church planters are adequately equipped as a Christian, husband, father, pastor, and missionary. Under the leadership of Pastor Cadet Frantzcy who oversees the network of churches in Haiti, regular assessments are made regarding future church planting efforts. As it stands, there are currently 10 church plants over the past ten years. Due to the earthquake, much of the attention has been given to the relief and recovery of current churches with the hope of being more aggressive in church planting in the coming years. We are need of Bible, Evangelistic Supplies and Christian booklets. Theological Education This year, Omega Kingdom-Ministry held two national training conferences and three regional training conferences. In January, the first national conference was on God’s Word: It’s Nature and Effect in Life and Ministry. In December, the second national conference was on Behold Your God: The Character and Attributes of God. Both conferences were attended by pastors, deacons, orphan school teachers, and soon-to-be pastors (roughly 55 in all). At the close of each conference, each person received a certificate of participation and had opportunity to share how the training impacted their lives and will be used in their church and community. In the December conference, the director of Haiti National Television attended along with his television crew and journalists who reported on the conference through national news. Through these conferences, several theological resources were given to every attendee by Dr Pastor Cadet Frantzcy Church Planting Equipping indigenous leaders The church is Christ’s body. It’s influenced by its environment, community, pastor, leaders and people. As the community struggles or prospers, so the church may do the same. In addition to these factors, the Haitian church has also experienced government instability and natural disasters – hurricanes and the earthquake – which has shaped its journey. By the power of the Holy Spirit, the church is alive and well in Haiti. Leaders are being trained, people are coming to faith, ministry is expanding, and God is at work. Indigenous leaders in all of our churches are stepping up and taking responsibility. All of our churches are called Omega Christian Church, followed by the location. We have planted churches in these locations:
