Cidi Otieno David says The Coalition for Constitution Implementation (CCI) takes issue with trend the members of the National Assembly and top government officials especially the majority leader in the house has taken in castigating county governments on alleged misuse of resources. As CCI begins Migori County Devolution Caravan on 18th July 2013 at Bar Market, CCI notes that wastage of public resources is still rampant in the National Government as there is still misuse of state resources. A case in point is the intention to spend close to 100 million shillings to renovate the house to the deputy president and also intention to spend 100 million shillings to window shop for chairs in China. There are also reports that government departments are still purchasing fuel guzzlers expensively at the expense of providing basic services to the people. CCI therefore states that the county governments need more support in terms of cash from the central government so that they can set the necessary structures to enable the counties take root.
