Cigarettes were once purported to be healthy for you and to not have any adverse effects. Very intelligent people believed this to be true. But there were some people who realized that it wasnt true. Now theres evidence that cigarettes do have adverse effects and theres a Surgeon Generals warning is printed on each pack. There are people who still smoke. There are people born after the warning label was instituted who started smoking. The warning label has gotten some smokers to quit. Id guess that the warning label has prevented some people from starting. The cigarette industry seems to still be thriving. Currently, were being told that GMO foods are good for us and can help solve the worlds ills, and that there are no adverse effects. Very intelligent people believe this to be true. But there are some people who are realizing that GMOs are not so great. But...wheres the label for GMOs? It shouldnt be so frickin difficult to decipher whether or not the food were eating has GMOs or not. Some people will continue eating GMO products regardless of an informative label. Some people might actually not buy products containing GMOs because of an informative label. An informative label that states that the product contains GMO ingredients will likely NOT bring the GMO industry to its knees. Why then is the GMO industry fighting so hard against a little thing like a label? We have the right to know. We have the right to decide for ourselves.
