Circular No.002 Date :13/06/2013 Dear Parents, It is indeed my privilege and pleasure to welcome you, the staff, and students to usher in the academic year 2013-2014. The beginning of a new academic year is a time for HOPE and a time to RENEW ourselves, rooted in the achievements of the past, and looking forward to fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of the future . The immediate past brings to mind the cent percent ICSE Examination results of March 2013. Out of the 32 students , 14 students achieved distinction ,17 students achieved First Class and 1 student has achieved second class. Our topper Dhwani Nanavati has achieved 95%, Aneesh Deora has achieved 93%, Aarti Kandalgaonkar has achieved 89%. All our students deserve our hearty congratulations and best wishes for the future. We have declared a holiday on Monday, 17thJune,2013 to celebrate our students’ success. I wish to highlight a few important points which will help in the smooth and disciplined functioning of the School, and I look forward to a whole hearted co-operation from each one of you. The main purpose and object of our school is to make your child a good student. Diligent, industrious, honest, truthful, just and fair in dealing with all. Please help us in this great and noble task. Take time out to read the school diary carefully as it has all the rules and regulations to be followed by parents and students and please sign wherever required. 1.In the academic year 2013-2014, we will have continuous assessment in addition to the term examinations. for Forms 1-8 & Forms 9-10 we will have regular examinations i.e. two tests and two examinations .Details of the yearly assessment will be given at the earliest. 2.Parents are expected to co-operate with the School Authorities in enforcing regularity and discipline , seeing that their children prepare their lessons for continuous assessments and participate actively and with interest in the activities of the school. 3. Parents/ Guardians are not allowed to see the children nor to meet the Class Teachers during working hours without the prior sanction of the Principal . 4. Complaints of any kind if any, should be made to the Principal / Vice Principal in writing and not to the Class Teacher. 5. When communicating with the Principal, parents are requested to mention in their letters the name, the class, the roll no. and the division in which their children are studying . 6. LEAVE FOR MARRIAGES ETC. WILL NOT BE GRANTED. 7.All pupils of the morning section should be in school by 7.20 a.m. and all students of the afternoon section should be in the school by 12.35 p.m. Regularity, discipline, courtesy in speech and conduct , cleanliness in dress and person is expected from every pupil. Pupils must strictly adhere to the regulations laid down in this regard. 8. No books , newspapers or periodicals may be brought or circulated in school without the sanction of the Principal. 9.Pupils are not allowed to leave the school ground during the recess. 10.Once a pupil has come to School he/she must stay in the School for the whole day. Parents are requested not to ask for leave after a pupil has attended one or two periods. 11. Keeping in mind the importance of the habit of reading, we would like students to subscribe to Times NIE. Times NIE offers opportunities for students to get involved in a plethora of activities that tap and promote their talents. NIE attempts to provide a platform to children to get a sense of their own ambidexterity in activities that go beyond academics . 12. Counsellor: The services of a trained Counsellor will be made available on Mondays and Thursdays from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. for parents and students with prior appointment on the above days. 13. In the interest and safety of our students the school Management has decided that no parents will be allowed to enter the school premises during school hours and meet their wards without prior permission from the Principal. In case you need to meet your child a pass will be issued to you. However, I would request you to refrain from meeting your child , unless you need to see the Principal, Vice-Principal, Secondary Co-ordinator, Counsellor or any teacher on an urgent basis. 14. To update your knowledge of the activities and get further information about Shri Balaji International School, I would request you to regularly visit our website –sbischool.org PRINCIPAL’S INTERVIEW HOURS. The Principal will be glad to meet parents on Mondays and Thursdays between 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. only by prior appointment. VICE-PRINCIPAL: The parents can avail of her services by prior appointment on Tuesdays and Fridays between 2.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. OFFICE TIMING : Payment of School Fees, Bus Fees or collection or submission of documents will be done during the office hours only.
