Total Siyapaa - 1/5 Oh my God! E. Niwas, who I once thought was - TopicsExpress

Total Siyapaa - 1/5 Oh my God! E. Niwas, who I once thought was a tolerable director, has abolished his career. Goodbye Mr. Niwas, it was nice knowing you. Total Siyapaa may perhaps be the years worst film. Its a mindless film that begins from zero and concludes at zero. More than half the film takes place in a single household. More than half the film is shot at night. More than half the film is spent on foolish gags, foolish antics and foolish scenarios. Neeraj Pandey, who I praised left, right and center after watching Special 26, is the writer of this film. Are you serious? Neeraj Pandey, what the F*** were you thinking? However, the writing is not worse than the direction. Niwas is the main culprit here. With talented actors like Ali Zafar, Yami Gautami, Kiron Kher and Anupam Kher, Niwas should of had no problem lifting this film from miserable to average. But that is not the case. The characters in the film are pointless. Niwas and Pandey limited Anupam Khers role. The veteran actor was in the film for ten minutes. The single rating that I have given Total Sipyaaa belongs to Kher. He performed well in his small role. I really wished there was more of Anupam and less of his wife. Kiron Kher hams from start to end. She can give a viewer a migraine with her over the top acting. Yami Gautami is decent. After performing in Vicky Donor, I expected her to sign a better film than Total Siyapaa. Ali Zafar, who I think is solid actor, seems as if hes been restricted. Certainly, there must have been some miscommunication between him and the director. Fact is, Zafar looked out of place in this film. I wish he pulls up his socks because he has major competition with the likes of Ranbir, Ranveer, Siddharth, Varun, Shahid, Arjun, Aditya and Rajkummar climbing the ladder. Now when it comes to music and singing, Ali rocks. Both the songs in the film, Palat Meri Jaan and Mujhe Maloom, are catchy tunes. The remaining cast, such as Sara Khan and Anuj Pandit, are irritating. Irritating, now that is the perfect word to describe this film. What I dont understand is, didnt actors like Ali and Yami know the kind of film they were signing? Honestly, I dont usually recommend people to avoid a film. I know that everyones taste in films is different. However, I suggest that you dont watch this film. If you do, you will be wasting 108 minutes of your life, as I did. Total Siyapaa is mad. It offers the type of madness that you will not appreciate. The only time I laughed was when the film ended. I laughed at how terrible the film was, at how terrible the writing has gotten, at how terrible Bollywood has become.
