Classic Cobb Salad with Red Wine Lemon Vinaigrette Classic cobb salad is one of those perfect older salad recipes that is often forgotten. This salad is credited for being invented in the 1930s at the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant. It later became their signature dish. It’s a great filling main dish salad full of bacon, eggs, cheese and chicken. For my recipe, I added lemon in the dressing to give it a brighter flavor. To make the chicken really special I cooked it in the leftover bacon fat. It’s was so good, even though not so healthy.
