Classic Rock Radio (Dot EU) 13 Dec 2014 Christmas Music by Classic Rockers Spotlight: Alice Cooper A long time ago, maybe like 41 years ago (give or take a day or two) at the end of the show, Santa Clause (writer Bob Green) would walk onto the stage, and the crowd would go wild. Then the band would proceed to beat the shit out of him. This was the original Alice Cooper group in concert, back in the year 1973. Warm up was the now legendary ZZ Top. All I can say is I wish I was there. Flash forward to the year 2008, and Alice the singer is now solo. His longevity as a professional musician (vocalist_song writer_occassional harmonica and guitar), is embraced by rocks metal audience. Back in the day you were a hard rock fan if into Alice Cooper. The acid rock label was used when describing the band as well. They (Alice Cooper) incorporated theatrics, and labeled it theather for the mind. All these decades later, and Alice is still at it. That year (2008) Alice contributed to a holiday album entitled; We Wish You a Metal Xmas & A Headbanging New Year. The song with help from John 5, Billy Sheehan, and Vinny Appice, is; Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Heres a link on YouTube so you can check it out yourself: https://youtube/watch?v=In3sApWlY1s OH...I got the idea for this column via KaTmans Video Jukebox, found here on Facebook. CRR (Dot EU) subscriber Bryan Erickson is the behind the scenes guy here. Highlights a LOT of classic rock. Does a swell job! I suggest doing as I did myself by giving a LIKE and adding to your newsfeed.
