Cleaning out the basement today has been rough on me emotionally. Ive had to literally hold myself back from dumpster diving after some things the boys threw away, but Ive stayed strong... Idc about material items (including thousands in ruined power tools, Ronnies whole Dewalt collection), but we lost a whole lot of irreplaceable memorabilia like a ton of old pics/scrapbooks, all our home movies including the ones w/ my dad & all the kids births & letters from my dads Vietnam days (written to my grandmother), due to the extensive water damage. BUT....there was a silver lining, Ty & I were going through a wet box of crap & he came across a hinged box, flipped it open & there was my dads purple heart award/pin from Namn. In mint cond, like it was in 1969. I didnt even know it existed. We were so excited. Guess today wasnt a total loss afterall :)
