Cleanliness is Next to Godliness, but not outside the temples in India! - According to many religious texts - Being clean is a sign of spiritual purity or goodness. It is believed, this phrase was first recorded in a sermon by John Wesley in 1778, but the idea is an ancient one, found in Babylonian and Hebrew religious tracts, and even a part of Hindu, Christian and Islamic rituals. However... in India the concept only stretches as far as the temple, home, corporate and college boundary... step outside, and youll finds dumped garbage. People in India dont limit the dumping of crap outside temples... outside places of worship are not the only victims, historic monuments, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, forests, roads, parks... all fall victims to peoples crap (aka garbage, trash, litter).
