Clear and present danger indeed. Conflicting media and individual reports and confusing facts detailing the Bama incident from yesterday has gotten me into a melodramatic frenzy. I began to think about the prospect of starting a new life somewhere else and all the unnecessary thoughts that bedevils a troubled mind. And then finally, a soothing divine solace descended to neutralise all the despair. After all, divinity is the most persistent idle mode status of the average Nigerian. We pray for rainfall and pray if it gets too much. We prayed against unknown diseases. A former president of this country once opined that there are demons sabotaging the improvement of the power sector in Nigeria, and as such, prayer for divine intervention should be mediated. Haba! Theres no stopping to the extent of madness our leaders would subject our minds. Because in the end, it always comes back to the crop of leaders we have. God help us all. I said it didnt I?
