Cleveland Metroparks Naturalists are turning over milkweed plant leaves all around town to see if they can spot any signs of the Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus). Mostly we are searching for eggs and caterpillars of this amazing insect in order to responsibly raise and release them back into the wild. In these early stages of life, Monarchs are at high risk of predation by ants, wasps, spiders, flies, assassin bugs and birds. Follow the link below to find out how YOU can help Monarch Butterflies in your neighborhood. SD learner.org/jnorth/tm/monarch/conservation_action.pdf
