Clever hunters these Goshawks!...While sitting on my stoep with my camera I saw a slight movement in one of the trees nearby....I also noticed that the many seedeaters were getting very restless. The Goshawk were hiding so cleverly that I could only see the bright yellow eyes. Next thing...it was gone...I did not see it fly...but it was gone! Oh well.....I decided to focus on the many pigeons and mannikins on the ground. When I changed camera position....I saw the Goshawk again...right on the ground hiding behind the bird bath among the garden shrubs about a meter from the mannikins...and they did not see him!!!! Suddenly I saw the birds scatter in all directions.....and the Goshawk clutching a mannikin in his one claw! It happened so suddenly that I could not even press the shutter!
