Baked Mac-n-Cheese Serves 16 A baked mac-n-cheese that is creamy and full of cheesey goodness Ingredients 3/4 cup bread crumbs 2 tsp grated parmesan cheese 1 tsp butter, melted 1 lb elbow macaroni 4 tbsp. butter 4 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp cayenne 1 tbsp. pepper 1 tsp chili powder 1 tbsp. garlic powder 5 cups 2% milk 6 oz Monterey jack cheese 6 oz sharp cheddar cheese 4 oz Mexican blend cheese Instructions 1.Preheat oven to 350 2.Spray a large casserole with nonstick spray 3.In a small bowl combine bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese and 1 tsp melted butter, set aside 4.In a large pot bring water to a boil and add in pasta, cooking to al dente based on package directions 5.In another large pot melt butter, add in flour, cayenne pepper, chili powder & garlic powder whisking constantly until mixture becomes fragrant and deepens in color, 2-4 minutes 6.Gradually whisk in milk, and bring mixture a boil, whisking constantly 7.Reduce heat to medium and simmer, whisking occasionally, until thickened about 5-8 minutes 8.Remove pot from heat and add in cheeses, and stir until completely melted 9.Add in pasta and stir until completely coated 10.Transfer pasta to casserole dish and top with bread crumb mixture 11.Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bread crumbs have browned and cheese is bubbly 12.Cool casserole for 5 minutes before serving 13.ENJOY!!
