Clicking through channels and came across the retro channel. The show playing was Highway To Heaven, where Michael Landon played an angel who was put on probation by God and sent to Earth (apparently a punitive measure of some sort, although I did not actually see the pilot), where he hooked up with a crusty old bastard and goes around doing Gods work. In this episode, the probationary angel had a meeting with the devil to discuss rescinding a contract for the soul of his crusty sidekick; the angel engaged the services of a career criminal, who duped Satan into accidentally burning the contract (Satan apparently forgot that if he touched the contract--which was, of course, written on regular paper--it would burn). This saved the angels sidekick--as well as the now-reformed career criminal--from eternal hellfire. Who in the hell watched this stupid shit? I swear, this is stupider than Murder, She Wrote, which I had to suffer through a few times thanks to my mom. If you used to set your VHS VCR to tape Highway To Heaven so you never missed an episode, you are a simple-minded dipshit! Thats all.
