Client Advocates needed at The Valor Center--Do you have the desire to stand alongside individuals in need and work on their behalf in a way that represents the best interest of that person? The aim of advocacy is to bring about beneficial outcomes for clients in a timely fashion. An advocate may provide information and advice in order to assist a person to take action to resolve problems. At Valor Ministries, our volunteer advocates: • Assist clients to access and/or change community services • Ensure that the service chosen is appropriate • Communicate with other service providers • Negotiate suitable resolutions for problem situations If you would like to find out more about these volunteer opportunities and the training involved, email [email protected] or call 240-329-9387.
