Climate Change Most young voters believe it is happening most Republican and older voters have deeper doubts, the Tea party people-- well forget them they would be buried in Ice up to their necks and still blame Obama--but it is such a hard thing to deny where i live-- in North America. We saw a Polar vortex drop down and put us in a deep freeze- affecting us still after a month, and will depress temperatures for the rest of winter into spring. It is such a vivid demonstration because it was so cold that one knows one would not survive without warm shelter. Which brings the point about fuel, and we burn cleaner gas here more than oil but still it is not renewable nor clean, and we drive as much as we can afford to - Weather can change quickly and for long periods we can do little about intense cold except try to stay warm nor intense heat except try to stay cooler. But when it stays, what then-- we are not prepared for that kind of change- life would rode for everyone- rich and poor. People in Alabama and Georgia were stuck on highways in the cold some for 10-12 hours in impassable roads- impassable for the unprepared, they should have mostly not been on the roads. This is a teaser, as we open the XL pipeline and a new era of extreme oil burning, heating the air and adding moisture and intense energy -- everything is ore severe. Thunderstorms rip out trees, snowfalls become thunder-snow blizzards, polar vortexes travel south no longer held by the poles. Global warming means intensified weather and if it tilts to cold, it can stay that way until we are reduced to a lesser way of life, an avoidable tomorrow-- if we act today... hdm
