ClimateFast is an annual Fast and Vigil on Parliament Hill. Sept 28-Oct 2nd is the third year we have fasted for Government action on climate change. Ordinary Citizens join or support the Fast because we are all hungry for Climate Leadership. It is not tolerable that scientists can tell us we are on the brink of exponential global warming and the leaders of the world wrangle with each other and do nothing. Joining with us is an act of optimism and hope that together we can work hard to make the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Our events are designed to bring ordinary people into conversation. With enough political will our politicians will stop subsidizing fossil fuels, put a price on carbon, and make a plan to transition our whole economy to green jobs and renewable energy. We invite you to hold your own event, or conduct a letter campaign sending hand written letters to your MP between September 28th and October 2nd and following that, to join our Climate First on the First of the Month letter campaign. We want our politicians to know we will not settle until they negotiate serious targets for greenhouse gas reductions in Paris in 2015.
