Clinical Nurse Consultant, Paediatrics - Broken Hill Permanent Full Time Far West Local Health District Number of FTE 1.00 Primary objectives: SCOPE OF POSITION: Develop sustainable paediatric clinical networks between the NSW Clinical Health networks and other key stakeholders to enhance long term outcomes of children and adolescents within FWLHD . Promote and facilitate the delivery of high quality child and adolescent health services, participate in education and research initiatives and provide clinical leadership. Their practice will involve providing clinical services and consultancy, clinical leadership, research, education and participation in clinical services planning and management. Clinical Nurse Consultant is competent to: •Provide expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health professionals within Paediatrics. •Develop, facilitate the implementation and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs. •Provide leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice. •Initiate and utilise the findings of research in the provision of clinical services. •Contribute to the development and delivery of paediatric and/or related education programs. •Participate in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning of the service. This role also involves the organisation and delivery of paediatric services •Collaborate with other health professionals as needed. •Refer to other health professionals as necessary. •Accept referrals from other health professionals. ==>> bit.ly/16RjB6r
