Closer To Death I Realised I Wasnt Living ... On Wednesday evening I got admitted to Roseaceres Hospital in Primrose, due to a headache. On my way to hospital, I noticed my vision fading away by the minute, the look on my sister face was absolutely heartbreaking... Upon my arrival at the hospital, everything seemed blurry, the nurses got me a wheelchair, I was soon assigned a bed in the surgical ward. At that point my eyes shut down completely, I could hear my mom shouting & screaming demanding answers, Ive never heard my mom so helpless ,her voice even today lingers deeply in my ears. After being connected to drips ,& having samples of blood removed things seemed to be relaxed. I tried to open my eyes miraculously thy opened, but I couldnt see I called out to my mom she responded yes, she felt so distant from me. A friend once told me, when a man cries he doesnt cry tears but he cries bullets. The echoing yes boiled in me, realising I couldnt see her, i started breaking down. Never in my life have I imagined Id ever show my mom my biggest fear, crying in front of her. Through this whole journey to recovery I realised I wasnt living, i was simply existing only when I was closer to Death I realised the true meaning of life. I was diagnosed the following day with a disease called Coxsackie I regained my sight and currently taking medication to fully recovery. My biggest thanks goes to my Queen my mom ❤,My beautiful sister Ruby, My brother Neo & Ntsika Dwala ,My gorgeous lady Alexandra De Sousa Caldeira & step dad for motivation. God bless, Love Each Day... Love One Another.
