Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 Supports Hunger Action Month! Feeding America is teaming up with Sony Picture Animations’ “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” and some of the nation’s leading produce growers to support Hunger Action Month. The campaign will kick-off with packing events at food banks across the country with a donation of more than 100,000 pounds of fresh produce. The campaign will be supported throughout the month with an eBay auction, a PSA and social media. Look for specially-marked packages of produce in your supermarket to learn more! As part of the collaboration, Sony Pictures Animation will lead the way with a $25,000 cash donation to Feeding America. In addition, the participating food growers – California Giant Berry Farms, Cal-Organic Farms, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Grimmway Farms and the National Watermelon Promotion Board – will donate over 100,000 pounds of fresh produce to Feeding America’s nationwide network of food banks. Consumers will have the chance to get involved as well, as specially marked packages of participating produce from these growers in supermarkets across the country will be tagged with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 artwork, a QR code that will link consumers to Cloudy2win and a special code to enter in order to win prizes. On the site, consumers can find useful information – including recipes, games, information about the film, and find how they can help make a difference in their communities.
