2800 of us who competed in the Lake Placid Ironman have a huge debt of gratitude to all the volunteers in the water that got us all out safely after the lightening strikes. The volunteers who stood out in the rain soaked to their skin handing us perform and gu all day. The spectators who stood out on the course screaming at us all with great words of encouragement. The athletes who were there to support each other throughout our journey (we race against each other but compete as one). Most of all to our families and support friends who gave up a lot to make this day so special. None of us could have ever have done this without you!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
