Club results for Saturday, Day 1, of Highlander Cross: As many have said, easily the best--and hardest--course of the year so far! Youd have to be nuts to ride it single speed, but Rob Spooner did sneaking into the top 10 with a fine 9th. Will Schwartz, in his first race as a cat 3 was 26th in the mens 3/4 race, while Ray Frias had a rough day and DNFd. The womens races were HUGE and Leigh Busby took everyone on and came away with lucky 13th. Dan Pedroza lead the charge in the mens 4/5 taking 27th, with Spooner, doing the double, in 33rd, Daniel Leopold in 36th, and Miguel Ortiz in 39th. Joey Machado took 3rd in the mens 50+ with Fred Willemsen going 25th and Carla Jennings, sneaking into the early race of the day, riding to 27th! For the baby masters, Daniel Curtin finished 11th and Brett Kinsey was 24th. Day 2 was, if it even seems possible, even tougher. As soon as we have official results, well share them!
