Coaches, Parents, and Fans of the DMV: Felt a little under the weather this week but I am back just in time for the Battle Royale!!! Had to make sure to rest up for this slate of Games!!!!! For the first time ever, the GYFL is going out of conference and playing non league games. We did it our of necessity this year, but if we have the response that I hope to have tomorrow we may have to make this a yearly thing!!!! Tomorrows Slate is going to be crazy!!!! We begin with traditional 6th Grade matchups and we have some 6th Graders you just must see!!! At 9am the Fatz Bulldogs bring Gary Light Speed Rosemond Jr. to Riverdale Baptist to take on the undefeated I5 Elite, who feature and strong are QB name John Griffith and a set of backs that can flat out get it. Sixx Hawkins and Caron Tull will be worth the price of admission. At 11am there is more 6th Grade action with the MoHo Co Lions get at it with the red hot Hamilton Tigers in a game that should be a shootout!!! At 1pm we have two games going on simultaneously. The Moho Co Lions will go at it with the Hamilton Tigers in 7th Grade action. At 1pm on the turf we let the games begin. In 8th Grade Action our own Ft. Hunt Federals will take on the legendary Middle River Renegade program that we have heard so much about over the year. Head Coaches Ricky Hairston and Glenn Umbarger will match wits in our first ever NON League showcase game. HS coaches will want to see this Middle River team loaded with star talent. At 3pm there is more 7th Grade Action. The I5 Elite team which features a couple of 511 WRs who will star on the 7th Grade FBU Team in Josh Dodd and Ashton Allen, will play against the Westlake Bulldog team led by the one and only Antwain The Cannon Littleton. This kid is truly special and everything that you have heard about. They will team up for FBU, but will battle it out tomorrow. At 5pm batten down the hatches for the Civil War. The National Champion and undefeated MD Seahawks led by Spring 2014 GYFL Offensive Player of the Year Keyshawn Wray, and superstar Jamal Speaks will take on the Nationally ranked and undefeated Hamilton Tigers. The Tigers feature a whos who list of talent from Tayquan Tiny Johnson, to Jabriel Jet Johnson to the Avatar Quizzon Tarver and Josh Peeeeeuuuuuuu! Their feature a 7th grade QB that is lights out named Trace Campbell and WR/LB Jalen Green just to name a few. Both teams are loaded. Get your popcorn ready!!! The swan song at 7pm features the talented Moho Co Lions led by Jalen Bam Bam Hampton, Shane The Hulk Lee, Spanky Dixon and Dvon Ellies play the Charles County Spartans from Southern MD. We dont know any of their players yet, but we look forward to seeing them tomorrow!! Spread the word!!!! $5.00 gets you and ALL DAY Pass. The Voyce will be on the mic!!!!
