Coal is dead. Its been dying long before Obama came along. The war on coal is between coal mine owners and their employees … not with politicians. The world is moving away from coal and taking action even throughout our nation for a cleaner and healthier alternative … thus the demand for coal has dropped over the past several years. There are FEW old coal stoves like my Papaw had left in living rooms across the state! Obama had nothing to do with this! The world changes … jobs are lost with it. The real issue should be on WHAT will replace coal in those area economies so people can still work … At a much safer and healthier job! People in KY refuse to believe that coal is dead … While crying over black lung, etc. They want to keep the dragon even if it breaths fire on them! We force politicians to thread the needle on coal while trying to get elected instead of letting them speak about the real issues … Jobs to replace lost coal jobs, how to make existing coal mines safer for workers, etc. Its obvious after 30 years that Mitch has no intentions of addressing any issues the people of KY face. He merely finds a place to pass the blame for everything that comes up and sets back in his millionaire easy chair. I wish I had a dollar for every time he has said Obama in a pass the blame context! Grimes at least wants to TRY to help the people of KY. She is at least a real person with compassion … Something Mitch lost long ago … other than staged expressions of compassion provided for him by those his money controls. Why on earth would anyone in KY want something like him representing our state??? Politics is indeed an ugly subject … But Kentucky MUST pay attention this time and VOTE. We must take a chance on a fresh start for Kentucky. It is literally impossible for Allison Lundergan Grimes to mess up as horribly as Mitch has over his 30 years in Washington. Let him go enjoy his retirement on his millions. Once Allison is in office, she can be free of election nonsense, and Im confident that she will then work hard on the real issues. How refreshing it will be to have a KY senator that speaks about something other than his disapproval of all things Obama and loves beyond the mighty dollar.
