Cobbles. Establishing a fresh Ladies team in our local league has been like walking on cobbles, it has been a rough ride from there to where we are now, but we are now here to stay. The commitment from our current ladies team has been really top notch, we are moving forward together, If the original group of players where more committed we would be up with the top teams without doubt, but thats players and football, I applaud all my players who stayed on track especially the players who can quite easily play at a higher level but remained committed to each other and this long journey together. If we build it. I have a plan, giving as many ladies a chance to try football has been my priority this season and has been really fun, we have a number of players who have never played football before at all, who are now gaining confidence and the ability to compete in a team, the learning curve has been massive but satisfaction is huge. Reflection. I do reflect on every event and every decision that I make, I encourage my players to do the same, I will take advice and help where needed, seeing many points of view and collating this is very important with a broad age group from 16 to 42 and different backgrounds and different points of view, remember we also have a welfare responsibility for younger players thrown in the mix. Everyone is an armchair coach who point and comments and have a better team selection or formation, the reality is they dont have all the information at hand and see what is in front of them for 90min, stand back and reflect as much as possible and see the bigger picture. Home. We have been made welcome at PRESTATYN and their committee are very supportive especially with bigger fish to fry at the moment this is refreshing to see, I have been involved with ladies football for many years, I am always sceptical of clubs giving lip service towards ladies football but this hasnt been the case at all there has been hiccups but Prestatyn welcomed us with open arms and have supported us where they can, we are very proud to be involved with Prestatyn we have a big future together. Any commens thoughts and views always welcomed, but keep it clean.
