Cobra and Airliner1 take off in aviation training collaboration Scottish collaboration set to fly Cobra Simulation Limited is delighted to announce that they have signed a long-term strategic agreement with Airliner1 Europe Limited to install Cobra screens in all Sims and Develop 2 Centres for flight training within Scotland. This move will help both parties put Scotland firmly on the map when it comes to commercial aviation training. A business sector that’s tipped as ‘set to soar to new heights’ by many respected experts, the aviation simulation sector is hot news right now; so this collaboration is not only great news for the two companies, it’s great news for Scotland as a whole. Boeing 737 and Airbus 300 on their radar By working together, these two organisations will be able to establish Scotland’s largest commercial airliner training operation across 2 sites within the West and East of Scotland. Cobra Simulation intends to host a flight simulation centre for JOC training within its new premises located at Inchmuir Road, Bathgate, which is only a short drive from Edinburgh Airport. As well as this, they will create an Airbus focused centre, modelled on, or similar to the Airliner1 Boeing JOC training centre in Glasgow. This move could quickly see them becoming the centre of choice for Jet Orientation Courses (JOC) across the continent. Job and export opportunities plus eye to the future Airliner1’s plans are to create up to 20 new jobs across their two sites. However, from an economic viewpoint, not only does this partnership mean more jobs, it also brings tremendous global exporting opportunity. And apart from immediate benefits, the partnership’s plans for the future include collaboration with local councils, educational organisations and charities within the aviation sector to develop and encourage young people and graduates to choose a career in aviation in Scotland.
