Col Ramon Laughter. He fought in WW2 and Korea and is 95 years old. I take him out to eat 2-3 times a week and he is a most interesting guy with a ton of stories. He was a Col in the Air Force and designed the AWACS system still in use today. He explained to me how it worked. All friendly aircraft had radar receptors in the plane and when the system was activated if there was not a ping returned it was an enemy aircraft. He also set up radar for NORAD and this is just two of the many stories he has told me about his interesting life. I have lived here on his property with him and his wife who died last year. He definitely should be on the Wall of Honor. This picture was taken at a Veterans Day program at Montgomery Junior High. I was subbing the day they honored Col along with all the other Vets and was able to get this picture
