Cold high pressure continues to keep the state in the deep freeze. Highs remain 15 to 20 degrees below normal for the next 7 to 10 days. With the cold air in place the atmosphere may squeeze out some light snow or flurries from time to time. A brief warm-up into the middle 30s occurs on Saturday, but that will also be accompanied by a chance for some snow. Another strong push of arctic air is likely again for early next week.
