Colonel Bills latest dispatches from the front, this one is from Legionary 2014. The chaps had a long drive this weekend. Gods Country to Devon via the M5 clogged beyond comprehension at Bristol is enough to try any sane mans patience. Luckily we sent Scottie and Stu and therefore that theory did not apply! Exeter was the venue and Legionary 2014 was the show. This show is run by the Exmouth Imperial Wargames Club and a more friendly bunch of jolly gamers would be difficult to imagine. There was a good variation in traders, competition games, display games and a number of participation games too. We took a picture of the Exeter chaps running a Bolt Action participation game that got the kids involved - and that can only be a good thing. Trade was good and brisk - the Exmouth fellas took advantage of us being there to make a club purchase of 28mm WW2 buildings, and Scottie reckons we sold more lead at Exeter than at Salute!!!! Then came the trip home - another 6 hour hike and nobody on jankers available to unload the van upon arrival. But cometh the hour cometh the woman. Lady Bill herself stepped up and, leading by example, got the stock back into the Depot in record time - well done Lady Bill (or Billys Filly as she is known in the Officers Mess) Colonel Theo Williams Officer Commanding
