Colossians 1:21-23 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight, if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. Before giving our life, mind, and heart to Christ we are slaves to sin. Our hearts are hardened to the heavenly calling before us. This alone will cause some to never turn to Christ for His life changing power. This is a lie of the devil...making people believe that they are not good enough to do anything to gain entry into heaven. So therefore people continue to live in sin. The devil is a master manipulator and twists the truth. The truth is there are no works that can gain us entry into heaven, the lie is that he would do anything to have us believe God does not love us that much that He sent an atonement for our sins. The blood of Christ has reconciled us to God...period. If Gods word has been given to us and we receive it, believe it and live it out in our lives, then our salvation is sure. We have to continue the path before us, that God has shown us through His word by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We shall not be moved from this. It is a DAILY walk of faith, not when we feel like it, lest the doors are open for sin. We have a good and merciful God who loves us more than we could ever imagine. Lets stop listening to the lies of the devil and heed the Word of our Lord. John 8:42-44 Jesus said to them If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own sources, for he is a liar and the father of it. Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Romans 8:38,39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
