Columbia University Graduate Short Film about a Mexican-American family seeks two Latin actors in the NYC area. “Guero” is a film about a young Mexican-American boy who becomes the target of an anonymous act of vandalism and sets out to find the culprit only to discover the incredible lengths people will go just to fit in. Please email guerofilm@gmail if interested in any of the following roles: ADE (30-40): Camilo’s hardworking, loving, and no nonsense mother who is originally from Mexico and a native Spanish speaker. CAMILO (11–13): Naïve, reserved, awkward, and a little on the nerdy side. He lives with his Mexican mother, Ade, in an all-American suburb. He starts out with dark-hair, oblivious to what sets him apart in this homogenous world until an act of vandalism makes him question his identity and eventually dye his hair blonde in an attempt to fit in.
