Comcast—already the country’s largest cable and internet service provider—wants to take over Time Warner, the country’s second-largest cable and internet provider. This deal is a huge threat to American consumers. It would give Comcast a presence in every major media market in the United States, strangle competition, and, considering Comcast’s ownership of NBC Universal—a major movie and television studio—creates a vertically integrated media monster.
