Come experience a tropical paradise inside the worlds largest free-standing building as well as the planets largest indoor beach, all located an hour outside Berlin, Germany. Built at a cost of over $100 million dollars, now tourists and local folk can have their sandy beach & cozy lil South Pacific cove, too. Say hello to The Tropical Island Resort in Krausnick. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, ...the complex contains striking replicas of buildings from Thailand, Borneo, Samoa and Bali. There is a Rainforest with 50,000 plants including 600 species, some rare. There is a Tropical Sea with a coral reef theme, a 460 ft pool with 47,000 square feet of space with 660 ft of sandy beach, 850 sun loungers, a nightclub & restaurant, and all at a balmy 82° constant temperature...beautiful! The Bali Lagoon has an area of 13,000 sq. ft. at a depth of 4 feet. Recently added were a children’s pool the size of a football stadium and campsites with spaces available for RV caravans and mobile homes. Theres even room to fly a hot air balloon! WOW...what a vacation spot! Originally built as a gigantic hangar to produce zeppelins, the company went bankrupt in 1992. A Malaysian business with enough ingenuity literally transformed the empty aircraft hangar falling apart into a fantastic paradise spot. And, if one lives in Germany, one neednt even go far to experience a truly tropical getaway. A-MAZ-ING! Had to share. :-)
