Come make history with the Ohio Veterans Memorial Park as we celebrate 5 years of honoring and supporting our troops. On Saturday, May 17 @ 3:00 pm we will be unveiling what we believe to be the FIRST ever Gold Star Father Statue. Many of you may know Scott Warner, author of Gold Star Father. Scott lost his son Pvt Heath Warner who died defending freedom on 11/22/06 in the Al Anbar Province in Iraq. Scott if the model of the Statue and a huge support of the park. The poem at the base of the Statue is written by another local support Kay McNaul. Also, during the ceremony thanks to Airgas and Ken Deeb we will be releasing balloons in honor of all of military service members. Please join us for this very special and sure to be heartfelt dedication.
